CHAIRMAN’S MESSAGE
Welcome to Mesarya Technical University.
I am honoured to serve as the chairman of the Mesarya Technical University Board of Trustees.
This is MTU’s first Board of Trustees, with members appointed under the MTU constitution & statute. I , together with my fellow Board members are aware of, and committed to, our responsibilities and duties as Board members to do whatever is in the best interest of the University.
Given that the Board is still in many ways adjusting to the challenges of directing and controlling the affairs of a higher education in the process of transitioning from an idea to a fully established university, many challenges lie before us. Still, I believe that we can be successful and achieve our goals of real transition, if we all work together in a transparent and collaborative manner in which there is mutual respect and on-going dialogue.
I am honoured to lead Mesarya’s Board of Trustees during this historic time, and excited to see where we go next. With the support of all members of our Mesarya family, there is nothing we can’t achieve as we strive to serve our students, our global community, and the State of Northern Cyprus.
MTU was founded on the idea that theoretical application must be applicable to the practical ‘real life’ current job market. However, the major goal initiated by the university founders and management was to build an academic institution that competes, in national and global standing, any top world ranked university.
Mesarya Technical University is on an unstoppable path and our commitment to excellence is ever expanding, through new quality-assurance policies, the beginning of international accreditation efforts, and the expansion into new areas of study. Our double-degrees with prestigious English and American universities are a testament to the high-quality education that is on offer on our campuses.
As we celebrate significant strides in keeping a Mesarya education affordable and accessible for students and their families, we also are excited about the future for our faculty, an extraordinary collection of teachers and innovators, as we encourage their creativity to impact and serve our world.
As an institution of higher education, Mesarya Technical University is committed to the discovery and transmission of knowledge. MTU being a new university will inspire, motivate, and empower students from all around world to become excellent and caring specialized and trained educators, skilled professionals, entrepreneurs, scientists, business and political leaders for the public and private sector. We encourage active participation in an education that challenges critical thinking, provides career preparation, indoctrinate values, and inspires lifelong learning. Students may expand their horizons by taking advantage of both our face-to-face and e-learning classes.
We believe that the opportunity for higher education should be available to all who seek it, and we will continue to meet the on-going challenges that higher education presents in the years ahead. Students who are seeking a quality education with a worldview can certainly find a home at MTU.
We are blessed that there are many people who wish to study at MTU now, and various international and local communities have expressed desire to work with us. I believe that God will help us make our dream come true when we stand on the principles of our foundation and commit ourselves to achieving the goal. In this regard, we acknowledge the abundant blessings God has bestowed on our university.
Students at MTU can look forward to stimulating, productive, and rewarding learning experiences that will equip them for lifelong learning and responsibility as global citizens.
