Course Title : Veterinary Toxicology

Weekly Teaching Hours: (2,1)

Course Description : The course aims to provide 6 th semester students basic toxicological principles; overview of major intoxicants and environmental pollutants for farm and aquatic animals such as pesticides, heavy metals, plants, mycotoxins, bacterial toxins gases, poisonous, venomous animal toxins and feed additives

The course also covers basic and clinical aspects of the more common poisonings that affect domestic animals, birds and wildlife; general principles of toxicity treatment, toxicity testing and interpreted; mechanisms of action of antidotes.
