Course description: This course is a common compulsory course for the first year students of the faculties and departments whose language of instruction is English and that follow the English Preparatory Program. In this course, a program that develops English reading skills that students will need in their academic and professional lives is followed.
With the textbook and the auxiliary book:
1- English for Health Sciences, Reading Skills, Suleiman Saleem Mazyad, University of Durham Publishing.
2- The Medical and Health Sciences Word Book, The American Heritage Dictionary.
Course Evaluation:
Participation / Attendance : 10%,
Mid-Term Exam : 30%,
Homework : 10%,
Final Exam : 50%,
Attendance is at least 95 % mandatory.
