Course Title: CLERKSHIP (INTERN) PROGRAMS

Course Description : Following successful completion of 4 years ( 8 semester) first phase of the program to DVM degree, students enter 2 semesters-second phase, elective clerkship ( intern) programs. The programs are designed to prepare fifth year students to become specialist in certain disciplines in veterinary medicine. Clerkship/intern program is individually tailored for each student by his/her designated mentor to accommodate and build upon his /her interests and career goals. Clerkship/intern programs re offered by 7 departments of the faculty. Each department has a multidisciplinary committee for clerkship/intern program who is responsible from preparation of annual Clerkship/intern program of the department. Each department ‘s program is approved by the dean and faculty senate.

Each student who successfully complete his/her elective clerkship/intern program receive a certificate.

Course Title : Aquaculture and Fish Diseases ( AFD)

Clerkship/Intern II ( 10,15)

Course Description : AFD combines the disciplines of hydrology, limnology, aquaculture, fishery technology, fishery management, fish and Shell fish diseases, epidemiology and statistics. AFD has a 16 weeks rotation program during 9 th and 10 th semesters; each discipline training program ranges one to 2 weeks in length. Teaching methodology consist of interactive lectures, practical laboratory sessions and seminar work. A mentor is assigned to each student to guide him/her throughout clerkship/intern program period.
