Course Title : Ecotoxicology

ShortCourseDescription: 

Ecotoxicology studies the effects of pollutants on ecosystems and focuses on different levels of ecologicalorganization. Covered topics in this course includes: Ecological risk assessment procedures and techniques, development of ecological modelsthat provide ecological impacts on the environment, concepts and practices of water toxicology, including physiological responses to toxicsubstances.

Bio-magnification.

Ecotoxicity testing (algae, invertebrate and fish) and developmental testing at population level.

Description and prediction of ecological change resulting from various human activities resulting from the release of xenobiotics and othersubstances in the environment.
